The 15 free presets are not based on Pigmentss stock wavetables but are designed by utilizing SparkPackers custom-made Wavetables. SparkPackers has released a Free Taster Pack for Arturia Pigments with sounds taken from their premium pack Next Level Hot. To bring out a different aspect of the sounds, Plughugger has remade their favourite sounds based on the concept of old-school romplers ( electronic instruments that play pre-fabricated sounds based on audio samples).Ī unique characteristic of this pack is that rather than using analog oscillators, they have based their new library on traditional sound sources such as real pianos and strings from the Pigments 3 sample library. Included in the pack by Plughugger are a selection of drum samples from the Elektron Analog Rytm, which is an 8 voice analog drum machine, as well as vocal phrases synthesised in a speech synthesizer to give the sound pack more of a variety. This pack is the complete package featuring over 90 presets for Arturia Pigments including Bass, Leads, Pads and more. Plughugger has prioritised subtractive synthesis as the foundation of the sounds and has processed and pushed the sounds as far as possible. The focus of the presets was, of course, the internal engine of the synth. Plughugger has released Beyond, a bank of presets for Arturia Pigments 3 aimed at modern pop and melodic EDM.
